Alterations

We provide a choice of independant seamstresses for your convenience.  

One seamstress will be happy to schedule an appointment with you at our store and the other seamstresses schedule their own appointments at their location.

Remember to bring the proper undergarments (Bra/slip) and shoes to your appointment or you may need to reschedule when you can have your items.
 
Bridal store staff does not quote alteration prices.  We are not responsible for the independent seamstresses policies and pricing.

Quotes are provided to you at the time of your first pinning to approve the work to be completed.  Payment is expected at the final fitting, preferred in cash and payable directly to the seamstress.
 
If you would like us to press your gown purchased at another store, but tailored by one of our recommended seamstresses, there will be an additional cost and payable to Expressions In Silk Bridal.  48 hours or more notice is required to ensure the gown is added to our pressing schedule.

Cell phones MUST be turned off during your alteration's appointment as a courtesy to give the seamstress the attention needed during your visit.

Alteration appointments last approximately 30 minutes for bridemaids, flowergirls and mothers.  Allow 30-45 minutes for bridal gowns.  Based on the volume of customers, please arrive on time.  If unable to make your appointment, please call and reschedule.  If a party is coming in together, please block a period of time for the entire group.

Appointments are recommended at least 2 to 4 weeks before the wedding -or- if you are on a tight timeline, as soon as the dress arrives to ensure your garment is ready in time.

Children and strollers
Our facility can not accommodate strollers and in order to keep to your appointment time line, we ask that your children not be brought during alterations appointments as we do not provide staff to supervise children.
